Throughout Saturday, Sunday and Monday, Station 42 was dispatched to a multitude of calls during and after Hurricane Irene. We maintained multiple crews and all equipment was staffed; Engine 424, Truck 42, Brush 42 and Medic 42. From multiple wires down, trees down, trees into dwellings, pump-outs, alarms, MVC’s and medic locals; we stayed busy well into Sunday evening.

A BIG thanks to the volunteer members that came out, brought in food, bunked in and also to the career staff during those 3 days/shifts.

We wish the area residents and business owners the best with the ongoing clean-up efforts and as always please use caution and be safe, especially with the power outages still effecting our area.default_dvfd_image1
