Garage Fire in Franklin Manor

At 1221hrs; Company 42 was alerted for a dwelling fire in the 42-17 Box.  Engine 421, Truck 42 and Chief 42 responded with neighboring companies.  Prior to arrival, Chief 42 requested the second alarm for additional equipment due to fire conditions and poor weather conditions. Upon arrival Chief 42 found a single family dwelling with fire throughout the garage and extending into the attic area.  E421 dropped a supply line for the next due engine while crews positioned attack lines to the structure.  Tk42 arrived and began laddering the structure before assisting the interior crews.  With grievous work, the fire was under control within 60 minutes. Crews worked close to 3 hours overhauling and assisting Fire Investigations.
