3-Alarm Fire In Galesville

On Saturday; 3/18/06 at 0808 hrs- Truck 42 & Engine 422 were alerted to a commercial building fire in the 1-33 box on 4700 block of Woodfield Rd. First due units reported heavy smoke showing and called for the second and third alarm. Tk42’s crew performed ventilation, ladder pipe operations, and assisted in overhaul. E422’s crew performed drafting and protecting exposures.

More than 80 firefighters from Anne Arundel, Calvert, Queen Anne’s and Prince George’s counties, as well as from Annapolis and the U.S. Naval Academy, were on the scene, including 15 engine companies, six ladder companies, seven water tankers and three fireboats.
