On Friday; 3/31/06 – Engine 422 was alerted to a boat fire at the Deale Marina fuel dock in the 42-17 box off of Deale Rd. First due units reported heavy smoke and fire off a fully involved boat. A second alarm was struck for the call that included units from both Anne Arundel and Calvert. Volunteer members from 42 performed fire attack and assisted in other operations.
The only injury involved a 4 year old boy that was on the boat when the fire started and suffered minor burns to his hands and legs. A total of 3 boats including the marinas’ fuel dock were completely destroyed and 3 others had minor damages.
