On Thursday at 1747hrs; Company 42 was alerted for a dwelling fire in the 42-24 Box at 5600-Blk of Dartmouth Street. Engine 421, Truck 42, Tanker 42, Ambulance 429 and Chief 42 responded. Units were advised of multiple calls for a fire in the dwelling. Upon arrival, Chief 42 found a single family dwelling with a fully involved car fire adjacent to the house with fire extending up the Bravo side of the structure. Chief 42 established Command and called for the Working Fire Dispatch. E421 stretched attack lines making a quick knocked down of the fire. Tk42 made the primary search of the house and then assisted with checking for extension and hot spots. A429 staged at the command post keeping the occupants out of the cold.
