On Tuesday, 10/9/2012; several members loaded up the ladder truck with public education materials and attended an event at the Riverdale Baptist School. The Deale Volunteers were requested by the staff to educate their youngsters on fire safety.
The students were able to climb aboard the ladder truck and see all the tools that are used on various calls. They also were able to see a firefighter explain all the turnout gear that is used and finally were able to sit and talk about escape plans and smoke detectors.
A special thanks to the staff and students of the Riverdale Baptist School for a warm welcome and the fun times we had during our stay.
